Get the indicated number of medals for the corresponding minis to appear on the title screen with different music:

Donkey Kong: Get Gold medals on all 80 levels
Princess: Get Silver medals on all 80 levels
Toad: Get Bronze medals on all 80 levels

Basement
Successfully complete the game to unlock the basement area of the building.

Mini-game bonuses
Successfully complete the indicate number of mini-games to unlock the corresponding Special Construction Kit:

Special Kit 1 (Mini-Toad): Successfully complete three mini-games
Special Kit 2 (Mini-Peach): Successfully complete six mini-games
Special Kit 3 (Mini-DK): Successfully complete nine mini-games

Nintendo WiFi levels
At the main menu, select “Construction Zone”, then select “WiFi Connection”, followed by “Receive”. Select an open spot, “Receive”, then the Nintendo logo. You can now access the WiFi levels without a Friend code.
